Refund & Cancellation Policy

This policy explains how cancellations and refunds work on Vaanir, a live commerce platform operated by Kredey Innovations Private Limited. Vaanir is a marketplace — sellers list and ship products directly. This policy is published in compliance with the Consumer Protection Act, 2019 and the Consumer Protection (E-Commerce) Rules, 2020.

1. Order Lifecycle

Every order on Vaanir follows a clear status progression. Understanding these statuses is key to knowing when cancellation is available:

Pending Confirmed Shipped Delivered
Cancellation is only available when the order status is "Pending." Once the seller confirms, ships, or delivers the order, cancellation through the platform is no longer possible.

2. Cancellation by Buyers

If your order is still in Pending status, you can cancel it directly from your order history on Vaanir. No cancellation charges apply — the full order amount will be refunded.

Once the order moves beyond Pending status, cancellation is not available through the platform. In such cases, you should contact the seller directly to discuss options. Vaanir does not impose any cancellation charges on buyers at any stage.

3. Cancellation by Sellers

Sellers may cancel a Pending order if they are unable to fulfill it — for example, if the product is out of stock, there was a pricing error, or the item is damaged. When a seller cancels an order, the buyer receives a full refund automatically.

Sellers are encouraged to keep their stock counts accurate to minimize cancellations. Repeated cancellations by a seller may result in a review of their account.

4. Refund Process

All refunds are processed through Razorpay and credited to the original payment method used at checkout. Vaanir initiates the refund immediately upon cancellation — however, the time it takes for the amount to reflect in your account depends on your payment provider:

  • UPI: Typically 1–3 business days
  • Debit/Credit Card: Typically 5–7 business days
  • Net Banking: Typically 5–10 business days

If your refund has not been credited within 10 business days of cancellation, please contact us at support@vaanir.in with your order ID and we will follow up with Razorpay on your behalf.

5. Returns and Exchanges

Vaanir is a marketplace — products are sold and shipped directly by individual sellers. Return and exchange policies vary by seller. We encourage sellers to clearly state their return/exchange terms on their storefront.

Vaanir does not handle returns, exchanges, or replacements. These are managed directly between the buyer and the seller. If you receive a damaged, defective, or incorrect product, contact the seller first using the details available on your order.

If you are unable to reach the seller or if the seller is unresponsive, you may contact our Grievance Officer (see below) and we will assist in facilitating communication. You may also approach the National Consumer Helpline at 1800-11-4000 or the relevant Consumer Disputes Redressal Commission.

6. No Cancellation Charges

In accordance with the Consumer Protection (E-Commerce) Rules, 2020, Vaanir does not impose any cancellation charges on buyers or sellers. If either party cancels a Pending order, no fees are deducted from the refund amount.

7. Disputes

If you have a dispute regarding a transaction, product quality, or refund, we encourage you to first attempt resolution with the seller directly. If that fails, contact our Grievance Officer:

8. Changes to This Policy

We may update this policy from time to time. Material changes will be communicated via the platform. Your continued use of Vaanir after such changes constitutes acceptance of the updated policy.
